I know bikes were only made with the Evans name for a short time ('54-'62 I think). Can anybody let me know what year this guy is? Has a Bendix red stripe rear hub. No EvanAction springer. S/N F000182B26

Considering that is the second frame variation, as well being badged merely Evans (instead of Evans Colson) I'd date that in the '58-60 region. There's no science to these bikes though and it's just all about looking at many of them, which I've done :lol:

Thanks! I had this pegged for late '50s, just didn't know if anyone had more info on this style tank design, etc.
