Tailight idea if I use fenders

Rear rim is Schwinn origin with Copper Vein powder coat.

Front rim maybe original to the EvansColson bike but with Copper Vein powder coat.

Hubs Shimano coaster and Alien track type.

A little off the topic but when the EvansColson is done I'll need a way to haul it from time to time. Thus I used this rack in the old MazdaFlyer. I need to reduce the width by around 7.5".

I found a takeoff handlebar that had just the right ID to use as a splice at the removed sections.

Just need to find a few screws to secure the splices and give it a new coat of paint. Anyone need a pair of "shorty bars"? Now I can get back to the EvansColson.

I quickly shot some red tone paint on a portion of the frame. It is a pretty close match to the tank color. In holding the tank up to it it seems to be too much. The loops are done in copper vein which somewhat matches the current frame color. I'm thinking that I ought to do the frame to match the wheels. I have some Electra retro BW in 26x2.35 tires that look like old ballooners that are part of the plan.

I gave the rack a couple coats of black satin today.

I also took the frame to be powder coated copper vein. It has a cleared rusty look when done. You can't beat Mother Nature for the real deal though.

A little work on the headlight today with 50+ year old hacksaw and fairly new Dremel to make slot for mounting bracket.

Need to find some washers, bolt and nuts, I like using brass for some reason. I think I'll try to squeeze the battery pack into the tank. If not I have another cookie press similar to what I used on iAM Higgins.

I found a couple of these truck wheel caps at a swap meet. The idea is to use them as baby moons. I have bent up a couple of mounting brackets which may or may not work. Time will tell.

These 59 ford emblems may also become hub caps or find use as a fender ornament.

Sanded out a couple of small runs from first primer coat. Shot it again horizontal with Rustoleum primer.

Chainguard field color, off white to be added. Upon drying plan to distress it to match original tank finish appearance...may be tricky. To keep your mind fresh you have to challenge yourself.

Masked and shot chainguard accent paint today. Took the mask off a bit too early so I re-did it with second coat to fix a couple of rips.

Waiting a little longer this time.
