The leaves are turning, the wintergreen is dead and 50% of the bracken ferns are dead. That cold snap a few as ago put the plants in fall mode.

I’ll put in a good word for you to Mother Nature. 10C a few days ago, today 28C, but the sensitive plants and unhealthy trees couldn’t take it. They’re dead, dying or flaming. The tops of the tall hills in Northern Ontario, along Highway 17, west of Sault Ste. Marie are flaming.
Highway 17 is actually considered one of the dangerous highways in Canada

Worst car wreck I ever saw was on 17. I saw another bad one but only two were dead, one in each car. The Canadian wreck had 5 dead in one convertible.
I grew up just off the 17 we often hear of people killed on the highway. Two lane highway through boulders all 1 foot off the shoulder terrifing considering how busy the highway is.

That's almost a thousand collisions, fifteen fatalities per year!
