Hello ,
fellow bike addicts ,
when i was a kid in calif i had a coppertone stingray best bike ever...
my buddy said let's make a jump .. cool, chuck of wood and a 2x 6
yeeeehah nice first time no problem foot and half in the air landed
nice and now i am super hero ........ with fellow buddies , okay now let's
add another chuck of wood and i will race around the block to get more speed ....okay, you already know what happens ... so hitting the 2x6 at
20mph instead 5 it falls off the wood and things all of sudden you are in slow motion and we are flying through the air side ways and yes crashing
,scraping, bending my poor stingray what didn't kill it only made it stronger i thought.

well ,then we moved to oregon , steep gravel roads in the moutains
we came blasting down hills and slide side ways around the corners nothing better until, i lost it and went head long into black berry bushes
man thats a killer.

then i got my first car a 55 chev 210 sedan sitting in this guys
yard for a whole 75 buck okay , somebody had rollled it
and their was no glass . no problem it had a 235 straight 6
3 inthe tree how cool was that . i drove it up and down the
gravel roads sliding around the corners and into the black berries
a few times. then like most of us here i had to have more cars
41 chev 4 dr master deluxe , 58 ford conv. fairlane 500 police special
2 more 55,s an 65 chevelle ,most of these were sitting in somebodies
yard just waiting me . i thought okay now this a little out of control my
mom thought since i didn't even i my licence yet.

mean while my little stingray sit in the corner of the just waiting
for some more banzi runs down the gravel roads .

well, this is probaly everybody here has the simular story

so we are brothers in hot rod, rat rod kulture.

i try to keep my cars down to ten , so,
i saw this cool 1948 hawthorne boys bike unrestored original
had to have it, okay so the now i have to have every 0ld cruiser
i see. 25 bike later old schwinns, you name i have had it

okay, i may grow older but i refuse to grow up ....!!!!

i really enjoy this site where there is a kindrid spirit .

as my grampa use to say if it doesn't fit get a bigger hammer......!!!

well that's all folks

I don´t think you'll fit in very well in this forum. Everyone here drives recent SUVs, wears a suit and tie, and restores their bikes to exact factory standards.

:p :p :p

Welcome!

Welcome!! Your ramp story sounds alot like an incident I had....wound up with a stitched lip and chipped collarbone!!! Slo-mo crash all the way!!!

That intro sounds like my Life...
only I have a few less Cars...and a Very few less Bikes.

I too remember using a Piece of Plywood and a Chunk of Split Fire
wood as a Jump.

I remember hitting the Road so Hard all I heard was..

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

great intro Dave,

welcome aboard,
peace,
Kev.

Nice intro, I like the story about the jump. accpet i used big cinder blocks and a 2x6 sheet of plywood. I had a harley bike to hit the jump with, cant find a pic will find later, It had a plastic tank motor and fenders.. It was cool. Anyway welcome to the site.
