This is the 3rd 2011 New Belgium 20th Anniversary Fat Tire Ale bike that I have picked up. It's currently for sale.

That does indeed look really cool! How did you adapt it for Cruiser use, eg. battery powered LED conversion?

I had an opportunity to buy it just over a year ago. It had never been ridden at that point. I didn't really have the money to bring it home so my brother ended up buying it. He rode it exactly once. Didn't really like it as much as his other bikes... Never rode it again. I ran up on one that was less than perfect a few weeks ago that was for sale... Mentioned it to my brother and he said that he would let me have his for the same price... So...I bought his

Does it not ride well with the triple tree, why didn't your brother like it?

I think he didn't like the gearing... That and it's a heavy bike. The one time that he rode it, his girlfriend and I were both riding aluminum framed three speed Electra's... He was wearing himself out trying to keep up.
Later we compared the gearing of the red Wolfe to the other two bikes that had been ridden that day and it was different.
He talked about buying a different cog for the rear wheel... Never did.
I'll probably take it out for at least one good ride before I decide about any possible gear changes

where is everyone getting these monster tripple tree forks? the only ones i can find are rinky-dink and poor quality.

clue me in !

Closeout Bicycles on EBay have them and they are great quality. I have had mine for a few years and haven’t had any problems.

This is my Felt Red Wolfe Cruiser. What I started with was just a frame, fork, crank, and chain. I have always been a big fan of the show “American Pickers”, so when this became available on one of my FB groups, I snagged it and was excited to build it how I wanted it to be. The clubman style bars and the solid lay back seat post were fabricated my Chad Morgan of Chop Shop Customz.

Powdercoating on the bars was done by Harold Ferguson of Southside Powdercoating and Sandblasting. The seat is an original Lepper Hammock L85. Lepper has been making bicycle saddles in the Netherlands since 1897. The 50mm X 24”hoops and the 24”X 3” ThickBrick tires are Felt. On the front I chose the Sturmey Archer XL-FD 90mm drum brake. On the rear, the rock solid Shimano Nexus 3 speed. The wheels were built by Don’s Bicycles in Rialto, CA. The shifter and brake lever came from https://boxkars.com/ . The headlamp and brackets were found on eBay. I still have some small details to work out, but for the most part it’s finished and rideable. This was a lot of fun to build!
