I was poking around in the garage today and decided to do a parts check on the tandem build I'm slowly working on. Then I thought "Hey, I better TEST these parts to make sure they're good and safe" :p. My old firestone has been around a long time and has been built up many ways (5 that I can remember), so why not a sixth? The forks, wheels, tires, bars, grips, and seat all belong to the tandem but I think they fit this bike well. It rides sooo good. I might need to test ride these parts for a few months more. :D

Look good. I would lose the front brake since you already have brake without it but it is up to you. Other than that, it look clean.

The tandem is going to have front brakes, so I thought I'd see how they perform. Took this thing to the local park tonight and did 8 miles in 32 minutes. Now I am very tired

Even if not absolutely necessary, front brakes give you a lot more control over your bike. Not to mention what that particular fork would look like without them. On a tandem, I would say that they are.(Necessary, that is.)
