First post!Hello all...

been cruisin around these boards and decided to introduce myself and one of my rides.Im a family guy,limo driver,fisherman,massage therapist,bike nut.I always wanted a cruizer growing up around Hawaii and So-cal coastlines.I usually rode bmx and road bikes back then.Well the time had come and decided to trade some old bmx parts for a cruiser....Anyways heres my 80's Murray Monterey Cruiser picked up on a trade.All stock when I got it.Came with a cool pair of Carlisle Lightning dart whitewalls.I was rollin the bike for about 2mo then decided to spruce her up.Added a springer and some el cheapo chrome grips, pulled the foam off the bars and dropped em down. I will soon be adding more to the Monterey with more pics later....-Unkle Stinky

Thanks for the comment.I just checked out 'Zoot Suit Riot'.......cool bike!I bet the extra gears help out!Im thinking of adding a multi-speed rear hub and a suicide shift.

sick murray. i have a 86' monterey as well, but i converted it to a 5speed seeing how i allready have 6 ss cruisers. wicked forks and i'm diggin the color. welcome.

Heck, my first rat was a Monterey, and I'm just as happy with it now as I was when I completed the build. You'd be very surprised to know how many members in this forum have a Murray...or two.
