Hello.
My name is Nicklas Olsson, from Sweden.
Im building a cruiser bike, and are planing to change the fork.
My problem is the fork I want to fit is 1" into the frame thats 1 1/8".
Is there any way of solving my problem, or do I have to weld a new 1" pipe on the frame?

Im sorry if I am hard to understand, doin my best!

This board is fantastic anyway!

Or is there any cool forks and crowns with 1 1/8"?
Please give examples, especially if its possible to get it shipped to sweden.

Best regards/

If you already have the 1" fork and stem, I would order the shim.

What style of fork are you looking for? Springer, chopper, other. Some are offered in both sizes.

if u plan to use a 1" threadless fork get a 1" threadless headset, the reducers, and a shim to go from 1" to 1 1/8" for the stgem. there are way more choises in stems for 1 1/8th than 1". trust me i have looked

Hello again.

Because I'm completely new in bikes I would like to have some advice in witch fork fits/runs best in my bike,
it would be very appreciated if you could show pics.

This is my bike.
The plan is that the frame and rims will be black matt, the seat, saddle skin.
The "plate" with the scull will be wood with leaf gold on it.
The rear wheel will be a motorized 24"x4.125" so I need to adjust the frame a bit to make it fit.

The front wheel I think i will keep if I doesnt fint anything better.

But my biggest issue are the fork, what fits best??
Is it a springerfork?

Please give me advice on what i can use, It would be good if i can change away the ugly stem thats on now.

Here is some pics on the bike today.

That fork will fit any size wheel. The legs of the fork should adjust to fit. or leave them long for that chopper look

You don't think a springerfork would fit the bike?
Or one like this:

?

But I guess there is best not to have any suspension if I have a powerful motor, its hard enough to stare with that handlebar:)
Isnt there any fork like the one u recommended but fater, I mean thicker bars if u understand what I mean.
And what stem do u recommend to that fork?

best regards/

Ok, then I look for a fork like the one cman showed.
Anyone who knows where to buy a real beefy one, with a fiting stem?

best regards/

As Markm pointed too, that style fork has some problems that should be fixed first.

With a motored bike, I would use a fork that is properly sized for the frame 1 1/8".

Here are couple of other springers with the right size.

As far as stems , here is a good selection

If you can find one like this on Karfer's Higgins that would work. I think he said it was a Kruiser King but I can't find info on them.

Then I wont buy that kind.
Im interested in the model u first posted, but with thicker bars.
Kinda like this, maybe its hard to find this fat but u get the idea.
