forks, headtubes, stems... help plz

It needs to be short enough so that the wedge and a couple of inches of stem are free to contact the inside of the steer tube. It also needs to be a snug fit, obviously, to do any good.

Another, probably better solution-threadless clamp adapter. Go to components>stem>stem accessories>stem column adapters. Last item on page.

LBS called and said the fork tube is too short for my frame, none of the headsets they have will work

Visually, everything looked proper size to me so if it is too short, it must be barely. Is there any way around this or do I have to get another fork?

Can you take a picture of the frame mounted on the fork?
