Frame Identification Help

Question about a bike. Recently acquired this. Can't tell what year / make it is. Guy said inside chain guard said western flyer. There is either a M or W in a small circle on the top of orig fork. Only markings on frame- stamped MO 2024 97.

Rear dropouts look like they may be Western Flyer. I would need a closeup of the rear dropouts before I could decide.

I'd say Murray built, you can probably run the serial somewhere to get the date.

It seems the Mo would def stand for Murray of Ohio and the U in the # would make it a 1962

Your frame is very similar to my 1976 Western Flyer, that was made by Murray in Tennessee.
Dropouts, flimsy cross braces and serial number format match mine.
The cargo rack mount behind the seat (flat piece of steel welded to the seat tube) means it is
it is positively a Murray.
