Frame/Wheel questions...

I have a maybe simple question.... I want to start a project using a 24" cruiser frame. I would like to use a 3, 5, or 8 sp internal hub, the spacing itself is not the problem. If I lace up one of these new hubs to 26" mountain rim and stay conservitive on tire size, would this combo work? Rusted vintage frames are just way to cool. I don't want to do a 26" frame as I want something smalish and fast like some of the new 24" wheel BMX cruisers, but they dont have the lines or Character(rust) like the old frames... Also, just in case I end up usiung 24" rims, did Rollfast or Monarch mace springer forks in the smaller size? Any ifo/input would be appreciated. Thanks, Bill

I like the tight look of the front. Is the frame a 26" or 24"? Reading your build, isn't spacing such a joy on rear hubs? On one buld it took a day to get a 135mm Sachs hub in a Schwinn frame...

Frame is 26"whls., 18"seat post. From the room I have in the back, I believe it would fit the 24" similarly to how it fit the front.
