Araya rim is relatively modern, the seat, bars, and pedals have also been swapped over at some point as well. :| It probably had 28" wheels, tires for which became very hard to find in the middle of last century, kind of like 27" is starting to be now (although not as bad, thanks to the internet).

The bridge truss looks too wide to be an Iver Johnson.

cool info on whats been changed.. i had a hunch the pedals and seat werent original. i wasnt sure of the bars since they looked nearly as old as the bike but when something is hung in place together. it comes to reason the ageing effect will be consistant throghout the whole of the bike. thanks for the ivers add.. that is cool to see something even similar in style to mine. even if its not exact.

Iver Johnsons had 3 piece cranks, so it's probably not that. Westfield/Columbia's arch frame is shorter than this, and I don't know if they ever offered a tall version. Though the chainring does look westfield-ish. It does look similar to Schwinn's 1920s arch bar frames, there is an ad in Jay Pridmore's Schwinn book that shows them. One other possibility is a Mead Ranger or similar. They were known for their tall frames. I'd post it on the Cabe, in the pre-1933 section. There are a few early bike experts that might know for sure. -Adam
