I think that my least favorite thing about working with old bikes is striping the paint, chemical burns and lung burning fumes is not my idea of a good date. This time I used a "natural, earth friendly" remover called Jasco Green Strip...A little extra cooking time, a wire brush and some elbow grease (and some naval jelly for rust) and a paint and rust free bike. Also started creating templates for the metal work...any thoughts?

Also playing around with some 1.5" drifters

and a brooks b17 that I found for a steal at city bike here in PDX.

Plates look good in the overall-shots. But shoot some pics from different angles so we can see more easily for instance that you've used two plates at the seattube. I guess it goes without saying that you should makem fit as tight as possible.

Here are the revised plates that will be cut in aluminum, the number 13 will also be cut through so I can back light in red (if I have time that is)...
