On my older '64 and '65 HDs there was an extra amount of weld at a few points. They are the old cantilever style and where canti tubes meet seat post and bottom tube is an extra weld.

My 1968 Heavy Duti has the same reinforcing, which is why I find them desirable for off-road builds. The rear brake bridge is bonus on those frames as well.

The crank sprocket

No but it is directly tied to the front sprocket. Maybe a pic will help
