Since I've been on vacation this week...I've had time to tinker with the bikes. I had gotten bored with the ape-hanger look of my red rat bike, so I did a little parts swappin'...
Where I began:
Mis-matched pink fork, 24" front wheel with knobby tire...And a 2.125 WW rear tire...
Cool, but I just didn't like that WW on the back....So I started playing around and...:mrgreen:
The pink fork has to go...Looking to "upscale" the rattiness...
So I put a fork on that was off a ladies Traveler that I got from Markm (Thanks!!) That has donated many of her parts to worthy causes...
Head badge...BORING!!
As it turns out I have a few of these 60's era sunburst badges...
Right on...I like it!
After servicing the steering bearings, here we go!
I put a set of MTN bike bars on, after I cut 1" off each end...New grips...27" front wheel/tire off a Varsity I have...26" x 2" Serfas "Drifter" rear tire and wheel I had from a "package deal" bike I bought...
And there you have it!
