Mount your caliper below the hinge point. Then it will stay aligned with the wheel.

I've got a drum off of a moped on my springer and it works okay. The yoke will slap the bumper pretty good when you set the brake, but I don't see any problem with it. Gary

i could have swore i saw a bracket that went from truss rod to truss rod with a caliper mount on it, kind of like a sissy bar bracket for reflecotrs and license plates. dont remember were i saw it though or how well they worked honestly. but it let the caliper travel with the wheel instead of in a fixed position on the steer tube with the wheel moving around.

I am running a Worksman drum with the rat trap springer on my Flatliner.
