Fuji cruiser turned bmx klunker

Was badly spray bombed teal,but had some cool skirted fenders. Don't know what to do with fenders but bike turned out pretty cool. 60 dollars for aluminium klunker.

Are those riveted flairs steel?

Yes all steel and lots of layers of paint,.

I would remove the flairs and graft them onto the bottom of an early set of ballooner fenders, that would look sweet. I've been removing house paint from my Firestone to expose the original paint and it is getting pretty tiresome.

Theses are pink underneath. ,I haven't been using alot of fenders since moving to Tucson, not very wet here. Thought is ways funny that they used such heavy fenders on a light aluminum bike.

I'd put em in a bin. Fenders have little to do with klunking, even less with BMX. Bike looks great without em
