Pig bikes were made up out of other bikes into the muscle bike style, they existed before the production muscle bikes (Started 1963 with the Penguin closely followed by the Stingray) and were the inspiration for them.

Yes, kids in California were making their old 20" kids bikes into the pig bikes (also called high risers) by adding banana seats and apehangers, that was the birth of pig bikes and therefore Muscle bikes.
