garage door opener cruiser chain

I picked up an old garage door opener from my neighbor. The chain on it fits most cruiser bikes. Of course it won't fit derailleur type bikes. But I got enough chain to redo at least 4 bikes! Thought I'd share that if anyone were interested.

Yep.....I went to the garage door supplier and harvested their old chains for the local Bike Coop.

Also save some of the gears and cogs. I have used that chain for numerous bikes of mine, and I still have plenty left. Ended up with 3 openers, and kept the chain and some parts a few years ago. It is truly amazing what can be salvaged
