So for a year ive been haunted by the thought i was stupid for not picking up a western flyer tank bike from the 50's for 250$ last year at a yard sale. thought it was gone for sure I didnt want new reproduction or the hassle of ebay and this bike was 5 mins from my house. Today on the way to the bike shop the guys garage was opened I stopped i asked, he said 250$ I said 100$cash money. He said deal. the result was this

i think that bike is a repop. i may be wrong but i just bought the same bike. i got mine for 120 so you got a great deal.

7/8" seat clamp and reflector pedals instead of spinning blocks would seem to indicate repro. :| Still a good score. 8)

somes times the seller dont know what they have i bought a repop w-f just like the one in your truck a wile back the guy said it was from the 1950's he thought. 1st look i knew it was a repop still a nice bike i made a few bucks off it .................

repop it does seem to be the case but seriously either way its a killer deal if you think about it look at the panama jack female huffy version thats selling at walmart right now for $150 ... that doesnt even come close to as cool as this bike is and its a mens bike . i woulda jumped at the offer of 100

Yes... there was a surger there for awhile where there were reproduction Western Flyers, Columbia 5 Stars, Schwinn Black Phantoms, Stingrays.... etc.... In any case I would have paid that all day long for that bike... I paid 800 for my Columbia repop... but it was still new in the box....

Do not kick yourself.... I have been looking for one of those and would love to find one for 100....

Good snag @ $100! My only complaint with those is the way they used tabs on the frame to keep the tank in - makes it real difficult to use that tank on another bike. Well worth what you paid for it. I personally think that took cajones to offer a guy $100 when he was asking for $250 - I'm impressed. Guess you never know till you ask. Have fun! Robert

Yeah, I'd say the $250 would have been a fair deal, but $100 was a steal

Yeah repop or not Im so in love with it and sorry guys wont be selling it. The only thing I didnt care for was all the ........ amount of reflectors and four mirrors. With the exception for the front torpedo fendor light and light up delta rockets. I removed 23 in total reflectors. Now the bikes classic lines are no longer hidden.
