Gas brazing mentor near Long Beach CA?

I'd like to learn gas brazing, primarily for ratrodding. Fillet specifically for now. I don't have the time to drive to a community college and sit in class for a semester.

Is there anyone in the Long Beach CA area willing to provide a few brazing 101 sessions (paid of course), just enough so I can start practicing on my own without burning down the house?

Or is this asking for trouble?!!! Thx.
