well this has become a build but a build while i ride type of deal
i bought this genesis onex 29er in July and have ridden it a lot as my commuter
over the last few months ive owned it i been contemplating how to make it my own
so i think i have done it my way simple no weld and using parts i had laying around
it started as a bone stock bike for awhile ( very short while maybe 3 hours lol)

added some bullet valvecaps

then a lil handlebar bag

then after the rear wheel seized up i decided to make a few other changes
removed the rear fender put the front fender on the back and it looks cooler (somewhat)

so after the fender swap i decided the bars need changing
so here it is as it sits now

more changes soon i am sure lol

thanks araya51.
yeah i like the look myself and it rides really comfortably.
i wish i could do more but there aren't any 29er parts suppliers so i have to use what i can.
a guy i worked with gave me the fender swap idea so i went with it.
he had an onex but it was cooler then mine lol
thanks for posting.
Sean.

yeah i did too that's why i swapped them out
the bars on it now work well but i may swap them again
as they always say we are never truly done with any bikes lol

Hey no problem.. I like what I seen in you cruiser.. Have you concidered changing out the seat.? Like a Brooks or something with the big rear springs in the back like a mesanger.? Food for thought..

heya araya51

that's actually my next plan lol
im gonna see if i can find an old brooks leather seat for it
either that or i was thinking of an old vintage tractor seat but that requires welding which i don,t wanna do
im thinking a brooks with a slightly laid back post and some saddlebags would complete the look
i have a friend of mine working on making set of saddlebags to drape over the fender but im not fully sold on the saddlebags yet
great minds think alike on the seat though that would make this bike look sweet

Hahaha.. We do kinda think alike. huh.? That's not good.. lol
Well I'm not feeling the saddlebags myself.. The cruiser does not have that look to have saddlebags.. The Brooks seat is a must do and with a leaned back seat post for sure.. I'm looking at it and your going the rite direction with your cruiser..
