Hello, I've removed the chain guard and crank from my Genesis onyx 29". I'm about to put the crank back on and I don't want to put the chain guard back on (it's ugly), but I am having trouble removing the bracket plate that it (the chain guard) connects to. Do I have to remove the whole BB to take this plate off? There is a big washer type deal in front of this plate that doesn't appear to be connected to anything but I'm having a hard time getting it off and don't want to break anything. Anyone with this bike that can help me out?
