I was wondering when someone would notice the lack of progress.

My son's baseball season is over, well the part I coach anyway, so I can get on this. I have some Honey Do's to get to but I'll be on this when I get home from Germany.

There are a lot of builds hibernating out there. I think a lot of bears are about to start waking up.
Prost!

Spent about 2 hours doing a little mock up.

Tried the rat trap

I like it but it's not moving me.

Boy said I should try an old Murray fork that I made some truss rods for.

I like this

Then I tried the Bee Hive that I wanted to use all along.

And I like.

SO I'll need to pick one eventually.

Then I thought I should try and choose some handlebars.
For Unc, it Tried some straight bars.

I could make this work, but I don't like them.

Then I tried a nice small set of curvy apes.

They felt good but I'm not sure.

Then I tried the bars that came on my Rockabilly Boogie.

These will look good eventually I think.

One thing I notice is that I make even this huge bike look small.

One killer bike!
I think the beehive looks the best!
( but i'll just mind my own beeswax  )

I thought that was a huge frame. And I coulda sworn those were 26" wheels. You musta got another frame and some 20" wheels. Ya that's it.

I like the beehive and the curved apes the best.
Maybe you need some tires from a Beast to make the bike look bigger. :D

I have another set of bars to consider if you want. Shorty muscle bike apes. Also have some exercise bike mini apes. Both chrome.

Hmmmmm. I can't believe the things I've missed around here!

So how in the world did I miss you getting an uncle stretch frame? Secondly, since you are clearly not big enough to ride that bike, I think we should make a trade deal. I need me a proper size frame!!

Skip how's these bars? I got them today at Lars Museum Bicycle Day. They are Dynos. A steal at $10. If you don't like that's ok.

I can't believe it's been 7 years since I did anything to this bike. I'd forgotten I started a thread! I was thinking of entering it in this year's build off since I never really started. I plan to take it apart and post progress here. Won't enter BO15 because I know the demands on my time will not afford me the hours I'll need to finish by Sept 1.
