I happened upon this bike on display in small military museum @ Historic Fort Benjamin Harrison State Park. Former Midwest army base here in Central Indiana. There is a bit of historical information available on the net. I can post more of my findings if there is interest, otherwise enjoy the photos I took.

Great bike! We had a honor flight benefit here in Tucson last month with WW2 era vehicles and memorabilia. The thing was there were no bicycles. So since then I've been wanting to find a WW2 military bike.
 
There is more information than I thought there would be on the net about military bicycles. There was a reinactor that had built a replica bike.
