Man Uncle Strech you keep buying these investment bikes your gonna have to start wearing a suit and tie  Maybe just to the bank cause you woundnt wanna get the tie in you wire wheel.

Yeah when I go I look as trashy as I can . this guy was vietnamese and he was explaining everything to me . Its so funny I almost told him hey dude its a girls colorflo and I'm pretty sure I know what all the stuff is . He pointed out the chain was one of the old style wide link ones. I had a hard time not breaking out into uncontrolable laughter.

Cool find. Who would put reflectors, jello seat cover and those goofy holders for Ulocks on such a cool bike.

really cool how the seat has a different appearance on each side. that is a niiiiiiiiice bike. love those old higgins.

Hey Stretch!

I respectfully suggest that you part that thing out. As you know, I have had more than a few Higgins Colorflows/Jetflows recently....and I must say that these days the girls are not bringing much on ebay. Unless they are perfect, and I mean PERFECT, you will be lucky to get $250. HOWEVER, there are great parts on that bike that will likely bring more than that. The springer alone is $100 (and yes, it fits guys and girls frames, as you know). Those fenders and skirts are worth alot, the reflector is surprisingly sought after, the tank is worth alot, and those wheels even look like fun for someone. I myself might be interested in the seat for my wife's bike.

Consider it.... I know you're not a hardcore purist....and those guys just don't collect girls bikes anyway!

Just my $0.02......

PS- When does the new Elgin frame get stretched?????? :D

valid point bsb! paul, you can probably get 3-4 times the money, parting it out. just think of all the fun you can have, packing 10-15 boxes, tripping over bubble wrap, losing rolls of tape!  all kiddin` aside,if you do part it out, i sure could use those wheels!

My problem is I have a pretty good chunk of a boys colorflo and it is a repaint so im not worried about the paint stripping. I would have to buy a tank and they arnt cheap. then what would I do with it once it was finished. nobody can afford the batwing light so it would never be done. man the rims were some of the best i had ever seen on a 50 60 year old bike.

man those are some sweet bikes!!! thats the cruiser styling that got me into these old bikes in the first place. thats when bikes really had style and were built like bombshells. the girls bike looks good as is (minus the aftermarket cheese) and as for that green mens colorflow stretch... i'm in love.

Ok.. here is my opinion. I dont think anyone needs to be a purist to realize that a bike of this era/generation deserves to be left alone regardless of the $$ it might fetch. After all, it has lasted "complete" for over 50+ years right? Obviously you want to make some money on it Uncle... But one can appreciate the significance of keeping a color-flow girls or boys in tact. Now if you are strictly looking for cash... let me know how much you want and I might buy it just for the priciple alone :)
