girls springer to a boys bike

I have a monark knee action springer from a girls bike, what do I need to do to convert to a boys frame, do I cut down & rethread the stem, will I need new legs, or other stuff? thanks

I stole the forks off of a Monark girls bike and put them on a boys frame. The boys was a late 40's and the girls was a 50's. It went right on and fit perfect. If the head tubes are the same length, you shouldn't have any problems. If the head tubes are different, and the girls is longer, you can cut new threads, mount the fork, then cut off the excess threads. Gary
