This is a project I just completed for Humanities class.

Goldie is made from a frame, forks, cottered chain wheel, 3 freewheel cogs, 2 seat posts, a spring from a Schwinn springer, brake springs, seat spring, center pull brake housing, fender brace, handlebars, chain, headset parts, and 14 spokes. The only part not made from bike parts are the wooden supports at the bottom.

Just Goldie for the gold paint. She was a hit at her unveiling, and will stay on display at the college. Now they want another one, in pink, for a recycling club mascot at the school. That's what I'll be doing this weekend, after visiting the junk shop for a small frame cheap I hope.

Well, the junk shop wanted 10 bucks for a dented frame, so I went to the bike shop and got a brand new (old) frame for 8 bucks. From the dust buildup it must have been hanging there for 10 years. It's the same cheap brand as the other frame I used. And this is about it for scrap parts I have.

Goldie turned out pretty cool.
Good luck with Pinkie
