I do not but I saw one guy who had a piece of PVC pipe connected to the rear axle via a short piece of metal. The tube was connected to the mounting bracket by a bolt going through it at the bottom. This also acted as a stop for the pole handle. Hope this makes sense.

I have seen something similar quite often, I even used to see a guy with a pvc trailer to carry his crab pots...

Luke.

I was going to invest in a collapsible pole but they are too pricey! I'm new to the fishing world but we have lots of fishing spots near trails!

i love love love fishing even though i never catch other then bluegill or occasional bluehead cat but yeah i could stay for days at my fishing hole

my brother used hose clamps and clamped pvc rod tubes to the rear loop section of the frame to carry his surf rods, they were clamped to both the upper and lower tube. you have to remember not to swing your leg over when you get off. id put on a rear rack and clamp them to it. then you have a place for a tackle bag too. search for "canal cruiser" I guess its the cape cod canal? the fisherman setup old womens bikes to ride the canal and fish. they use the womens frames so you can step through.

They ran an article in Bicycle Times about a year ago, about some ol'guys on some Bay and their fishing rigs. According to the article, the preferred set-up was a step-thru ladies' cruiser with Wald Baskets front and rear, kickstand, and plenty of PVC for holding rods and stuff. Wish I could find a link.

I haven't fished in years. It's pretty pointless around here; the State of NJ stocks all my local waterways with hybrid bluegill, which breed-out to tiny little 6" bruisers that far more closely resemble green sunfish (the other parent species) than they do bluegill. Little creeps sure are scrappy for being 6" long, but still.... I can't get stoked about catching tiny fish that will bite on just about anything.

I thought about buying one of these from REI to pack along.
