So I am getting my bike ready for RRBO8, and decided to at least strip my build bike down to the frame and realized the forks and stem were stuck. The whole headset was frozen solid, but after soaking the whole thing in PB Blaster for a week, I finally got the headset to loosen and turn all the way off :D . The problem is that the gooseneck is still solidly attached to the forks inside the headtube. I have tried smacking the gooseneck repeatedly with a hammer to loosen it but it will not budge. I really don't need the stem, but I would like to salvage as many parts as possible when tearing this bike down. I am certain that a few of you have had this problem, and was wondering if there is a way to get the two pieces unstuck from each other without having to use a hacksaw? :?
