Found this old Hercules in someone's trash, scooped it right up. Needs a lot of work to get going, but I'll make it right and ride her again. Looks like late 50's/early 60's? It's a 3 speed. Can't seem to locate a serial # yet, but didn't really look that hard. Tried researching them, but not a lot on the years made. Oh well. Any ideas? Love it...

Nice little find. Nothing like a free rush.
I'm not sure about serial number location, but if original to bike, Sturmey Hubs are date stamped.

Ok, had some time to wipe off the dust on the rear hub. I found a "62", then on the other side, I found a "12", original hub I'm assuming. Says made in England. Am I to assume that this is a 1962 then?

I'd say it's a good bet from that and other equipment that looks of the period. Good info in the thread link for you as well.
