I won't get the new rim laced up in time or have the new tire and tube either. The welder needs a few days notice so I'll have to ring out.
I went for a ride on the bike, first gear is too low, second is good for a low gear. Got the cowbell attached.

The sun came out for a change today, so off I went for a ride.

I remembered a 20" heavy spoked wheelset I had with 3" tires and tried one on the chariot. I thought it wouldn't have clearance but I have about 5 inches of height. So I've got wheels and tires and everything I need, except time.

Maybe all the contractors will show up and we'll get it built in 3 hours! Like in the frontier days when the whole town would show up to build you a barn in one day.

I hate when the project can't handle the vision. However, you made it and it worked (within certain tolerance). It's such a cool spin on the sidecar design. I hope to see this continued beyond the build-off. Really well done

It definitely will. I'll start a build thread on it.

It started out as a front wheel drive trike, then evolved into a sidecar somehow. I'm fairly confident it will be a chariot, a trailer to be towed behind a bike. Or 2 bikes could be hooked up. Like these:
