so how do u guys store all ur extras ...and pics ? i just picked up about 20 pairs of apes and about 10 pairs of cruiser bars ...i was just tryin 2 figure out how in the heck im gonna store em ...

I hang my apes from the raters over one of the benches and have most of the other types in old dresser drawers under the bench. I've also used totes and pickle buckets for handlebars and other things.

Here's a link to pictures of my shop and a few ideas of other FBM members. It hopefully will help you to find a few ways that you've not thought of yet.

You'll probably have to become a member to look at the thread. I'm in the process of getting this corrected so anyone can look at the board and you may be one of the few that don't have to sign up. At this point in time the board picks and choses on it's own. The computer geeks at php can't figure out what happened. I've got all the info for an update but it's not opening. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon things will change. Give it a shot if you'd like and let me know if you have any troubles.

yeah guys i was thinkin about the tote idea ..i just have em in a plastic milk create now ...i was wantin 2 hang em from above some how ...thnx guys when i get it figured out ill post up some pics ....mike

If you wanna hang them, drill a hole thru one end (where the grip will cover) and put a small "s" hook in it or a zip tie. Then hang it from a hook of some sort.

You could also bolt a board to the wall, a bench or a rack. Then put screw or bolts or even dowels into the board. Make them long enough for you to slide the end of the handlebars over. And now you have a handlebar tree!

Go down to your Home depot and buy 2 closet pole brackets, mount them to a wall and hang the bars across them. There's a hook on the end of the bracket that you can bend up so the bars won't come off the front.
I to use a tote for a lot of mine, but I also take a lot of them to swaps, so they just stay in the tote. I try to put my good ones on bikes.

I use peg board and hooks. At the current time though I only have about 3 pair of extras. I moved a few months ago and got rid of allot of handlebars. Kept my favorites though. :) I don't know how I keep ending up with BMX bars.

Random unmatched pedals are in the filing thing, clamps of every kind are in the coffee can, Seatposts of wierd kind i cant put in the rafters, are piled here....and there are the handlebars. I basically try to keep the cruiser/mustache bars flat, and organized as possible. Flat bars and riser bars-some bmx bars are across the shop, on a shelf
