Just wanted to stop in and say Happy Holidays y'all. I just celebrated with my fiance today and going to my sister and nephew's place tomorrow. But I wanted to stop in and wish you all a great holiday season and say you are all going to see some cool stuff in the future from Outskirts Customs. My wonderful fiance got me an airbrush setup for Christmas and a few stencils. Needless to say I am stoked! I can't wait to start laying out some cool designs and getting some much needed practice (been a while since I have held an airbrush). Let's just say the build off is going to be sick this year! Ideas are brewing...

For decent size skulls the Skull master 3

For detail work the Skull master Nano

Merry Christmas brother! Look forward to seeing your work with that airbrush.

Me too! I can't wait to get started working on some cool designs. Already have an idea for next year's build off.

Well I got some paint and reducer today at Hobby Lobby and jumped in head first. I did a practice run on an old model car box lid I had laying around just doing dots, lines, dagger strokes, and such to get my feel back. (I've owned an airbrush before but it's been 6 years+ since) After about 10 minutes I was comfortable again so I moved on to a model car and did a little custom work. (nothing to worry about if I mess it up just re-paint it)

After that I moved on to adding a little flavor to my truck. I'll eventually do more but when I get more stencils and practice freehand so there is more variety.

The taillight doesn't even show up till you turn on the lights or brake. Subtle but cool.

Then my nephew came over and was going to be painting his truck anyway so we decided to do some custom airbrush work to it as well so the airbrush got a workout today. He did the painting and I handled the airbrushing. Not bad for rattle cans, an airbrush, and two guys in a back yard.

Very subtle, from 5 feet it looks like Grand Theft Auto blood splatter. Any more than 10 feet you really don't even notice it.

Touched up the emblems freehand just for practice and to run the rest of the paint out of the airbrush

My favorite touch by far was the door handles

And I had to add my trademark.
