Didn't VW actually produce Benneton Edition Golfs with that treatment?
I get it, but is seems like something more in-tune with the fixie crowd than the RRB crew. Of course, most of us build from old, mis-matched parts anyway - it would be more an issue of buying eight different colors of spray paint and coating each piece from a different can. Unless you start with a multi-piece (suspension) frame, you might consider masking off the frame, and getting at LEAST four colors on there.
Harlequin eh? nice. back in the day (hangin' out with the grease monkey motor heads) Us girlfriend's called their pieced together car-strocities Clowny Mobiles (referring to this crazy multi-colored Clowny Crayon commercial that was on TV at the time ) The cars weren't slick and finished like that VW though, just how they looked after being pieced together from scavenged parts lol
Harlequin is alot nicer lol You should definitely go for it
