hawthorne 3speed

Im thinking about popping on this bike but wanting to get some more info on it before I hit the guy with an offer. All he said is its a English Hawthorne and you can see it has a 3 speed shifter.

Any info would a help

It looks like a Hercules made bike. And also pre-Raleigh which would put the year at or before 1960. The 3 speed wheel has a coaster brake and should be a Sturmey Archer. Clean the hub shell to find the 2 digit year. It looks pretty good from the pic. Needs a front handbrake.
