I bought this at an auction this weekend. Pretty neat tricycle. Not sure of the year...I'm thinking 1920's-1930's. Got it for $40!!!

I love it! Great find. Cool seat on it too. Is there a place for a passenger on the rear section? i.e. Foot platforms? I just got a similar era (?) trike. The one I got looks fully intact but there is only one platform on the rear. (The 2nd must be missing huh? Could I post a pic here without 'jacking' your post?)

Many of the older tricycles did not have a step on them. Just the axle. As for the 2nd step, not all had those either. The second step seems to show up in the 1960's.

I don't mind if you post a picture of yours. I'd like to see it

Thanks for the info, Flagman, and for letting me share it... By the look, I am certain its pre-1960's; The older gentleman that sold it to me (for $10) really had no idea though, he just called it "an antique tricycle." It now sits in my mother's ivy as yard art.

Any possible ID/dating info? (Notice: the concave-like forks & single step on rear axle). There is no badge, nor holes where one would have been. I also did not see any sort of serial number. Yours seems to have larger diameter wheels than mine. Would that info help in IDing/dating it?

Murray, I would say that your trike is probably 1940-1950ish. Looks like it has skinny tires on it yet. As they get newer the tires get wider. If you post that photo on the CABE, a couple guys there can help more. Probably give you a maker.

nice tricycle seems like everbody should have at least one to go along with their old bikes mine is an old colson maybe 1930's or 40's
