Picked this Hawthorne up off of CL locally today.

Fork is bent, fenders are probably not original, chainguard included seems to not be original and the handlebars are bent. That, plus all of the usual things that are typically wrong on a 60 year old bike and Naturally I just had to have it. :roll:

It's my first tank bike so I'm pretty excited about it.

From some pictures I've found online I'm guesstimating its' age in the early 1950's range. Anyone have any thoughts?

Diggin the long pull bars, and the F-100 also!
 
You have the two most important parts. The frame and the tank. The rest of the stuff you can get pretty easy. Congrats on your first tanker. Gary
