Hey guys! First off just wanted to say I am fairly new to the site and very new to vintage bikes. I recently made a trade for a 1930's (I think) Hawthorne Zep frame and fork with a site member here. I have decided to make the bike clean and ridable and period correct parts are not a big concern as of right now. After stripping paint, welding cracks, and repainting I ran into a problem. I cannot seem to find headset bearings that will fit. The standard 1" seems to fit the fork but is too small for the head tube. Any ideas from you guys would be great. Also wanted to see how to ID the exact age of the frame. Thanks in advance for all your help guys!!

Here is a pic of how it sits as of now.
