Picked up a front rim for the Hellion. It is from a Schwinn kickback set with the 3 yellow bands. Since I plan on using the Shimano 333 3 speed hub, I left the rear wheel in storage. Speaking of storage, I had to move out of my storage unit since it almost tripled in rent. Luckily, my mom has lended me her shed and was able to move all the belongings over. She is my saint! And, I got to rummage through my parts and take some items back to Colorado from Kansas. Some minor work is needed on the hand made tank, then it will be ready for primer.

Picked up a rear fender out of storage. I’m pretty sure this is a Schwinn fender. The front fender is on the rear of my first build off bike, The High Plains Drifter. I didn’t want to cut this nice set and I’m glad I did not. I want a full fender on this build so things worked out well. This build has gone very smooth and all the parts have kind of fallen in place. The rear wheel will be the final major piece.

Me too and it is rather a sad situation in this "leaner" age, in which a lot that has been lost or left behind is impossible to replace at any price!

True I can hardly let go of anything. Donated a bunch of good lumber because of no place to put it. I’ll pay double maybe triple next time I guess.

Tank work time! Finally got some time to stop at the hardware store and found some threaded inserts for wood. Glued those in and when dry, I can use those to hold the tank while I paint it. I like that the tank will have no visible mounting points. Luckily I have some primer and a little bit of satin paint. The hardware store was thin on supply, also reorganize the whole store.

Getting some primer. This will help identify any pinholes or other imperfections that I may want to remove. A little runny underneath but this is wet sand primer so I can work those areas out.
