Hello from Norman Oklahoma! I've been browsing the forum for several months now and thought it was time to introduce myself. I'm a 23 year old professional cyclist... Or at least that's what I tell myself. I do get paid to ride a bike all day long, as a parking lot security officer. My work Bike is a nice Giant rigid frame mountain bike with flat bars. Pretty comfy ride. My current set of projects include 2 90s rigid mtbrs I'm looking at fixing up into cruisers, 2 full suspension bikes I'm not sure what I'm doing with yet, a road master with front suspension that's basically brand new that I'm leaving alone for now but might do an off-road bmx klunker later, a Kent la jolla that's being turned into a bmx style cruiser for my brother in law, and finally my Genesis Astra 29 that originally was meant to become a motorized cruiser, then I did a clunker from it, but most recently (literally last night) I swapped the 29 inch wheels for 24inch ones off of the Kent, which lowered it quite a bit and made it way more fun to ride, so now I'm looking for a set of springers and a nice bmx headset and low rise bars.

Anyway, that's me. I'll throw some pictures up soon.

Yeah it's not bad. I wish they would let me ride one of my personal bikes or do my own work to the bike they provide but apparently that's all liability issues. Other than that though it's the best job I've ever had. The most actual work I do is just telling drunks to go home.

Here's a few pics of my Genesis as it sits today.

Notice the orange wrapped around the coaster leg. Industrial strength Velcro from the gm factory in Arlington tx. My fiance's grandfather gave me a 20 foot roll a few months back, and I didn't have anything else handy to secure the brake. It's also what I use for the frame satchel you see in the Instagram pics above.

this one here was apparently fished out of the creek. If the frame is good I might do a tall bike with it.

Plenty of projects and parts fodder there!

Luke.
Yeah, I'm actually about to hit the lbs and see if the can't pull the coaster out of one of my spare tires and put it on my 29s for the geni bike. I loved the white walls on the geni but I'm buying new tires for it anyway so I figured I might go back to the big rims.

There are a few whitewall 29" tires out there. I have 29" vee speedster gumwalls on my STR-29...they are a microknobby and ride super smooth.

I've also used the Halo twin rail II whitewall 29"ers in the past, essentially a small block 8 tread pattern with rails in the center...also a very smooth riding tire.

(not my images...I'm at work so had to make do :))
