I'm new to the forum. Picked up a 26" girls 1940's Schwinn Hornet at the MacGregor, Manitoba, MCC thrift store a while ago. It's a sweet enough ride "as is"; having a weathered periwinkle colored paint patina and some slight rust on the handlebars. Although it's missing a few necessary parts, that'd make it rider friendly again. I've been looking for a Schwinn Hornet or Spitfire chain guard : my trouser legs are getting caught in the chain. Also a similar Schwinn Hornet or Spitfire (6 hole) luggage rack, and a tank horn. Anyone out there possibly able to help me out with these suitable parts ? Thanks much ! :|
