I discovered the forum by chance through a link on retrobike.co.uk and I am thrilled.

The bikes here are exactly my thing.
I mainly collect mountain bikes from the early 90s but I love all bikes you can have fun with ( wich means all), preferably in the forest and away from the roads.
I also like putting bikes together but haven't built a Rat for years, but last year I threw together a Klunker that I really enjoy ever since.
This forum is a treasure trove of ideas and guys who have the same quirk as me. Great!

So hello everyone!

Welcome to the forum and the fun! Please post pics of your 90s mountain bikes. There's a bunch of us here that love those. If you have a project ready to go we just started the winter build-off today so join the fracas! I lived in Friedberg Germany for a couple of years in the late 80s, Germany is a wonderful place. :cool2:

Thank you very much!
I have to find my way around here first.
When I know where to post, I'll get started.

Where can I find the build offs? That sounds exciting!

On the forums page you can find the rules page. The build journals is where to post your build. We've got 13 builds going so far.

When you're ready to build just start a new post in the build journals. Make sure to select if you're going to do an offroad build or skinny tire build with the prefix button. And have fun!

If you're the KayOs I'm thinking about, you should show off Rex. He would fit here nicely, and I think you will too! Welcome to the madhouse, your timing is impeccable, we're just starting a 3 month build contest, one of the categories is "Off Road"

Yep it's me 😁 Hi!
I just read through the rules of the winter build off and Rex is already finished so he may not enter. But I will see if I find something else.
