Hello I am new to the board from New Mexico.
I build cars and bikes.
Today I picked up another classic bike. A 1950's Colson "Evans Special" locally.
We were seeking an older bike to display up on the wall of our espresso shop we are opening.
The woman who sold me the bike told me it was her mothers, as she spoke she began to cry as her mother had recently passed.
I told her that if she gave me a older photo of her mother and a small story we would post it under the bike in the shop.
The bike has spend most of it's life in sunny New Mexico, we get little rain here so the chrome and bearings were in good order. The bike had an older mini restoration years before, the person that did it covered some of the original fender, chain guard and wheel paint with silver. I now have the bike torn down to undo some of the cover up.
