I've been referring to this forum recently since my main ride is now a junky cruiser.
My first build was a Made in Taiwan 10-speed frameset that used for a fixed gear build a few summers ago. After about a year, I sold off some of the parts and gave the rest to my significant other for her first build.
About a month after finishing my first build, I felt productive and whipped up a cruiser with my bike mechanic friend's stash of old parts.
It is now my main ride and I love it to death.
The frame is a 1955 Schwinn Middleweight Cantilever. The original paint was metallic burgundy, but it had been spray painted with blue by the previous owner. Every layer of paint is cracking and it looks like a zombie! (Blue, burgundy metallic, red primer, silver metallic)
I call it "The Zombie".
