My grandfather passed recently and tons of old pictures have turned up. I wanted to know what this rig he had was. Might try to track one down to build for my dad. But first, what is it? I think it’s Shelby but I can’t be sure.

Definitely a Shelby with the curved fender braces, the fork, and the shape of the mid tube.

Here is the 1951 Shelby Flyer that I had.

Can't tell for sure, but I think that your grandfather had a Shock Ease fork on there.

That was their Safe-T frame

Looks like one of the rear fender braces was "fixed" but in the wrong direction. They should curve the same way. Bit definitely a Shelby !! :)
