Good evening everyone!

PLEASE EXCUSE MY MESS!! I am working on putting some more shelves in...I don't plan on keeping all of that stuff...hint hint...lol. Anyhow...

I am finally motivated again to work on my Rat...yea I kinda have too much going on...anyway I found something unique while picking a very old junkyard that wanted to sell and crush out. I bought it to graft onto the rear fender of my 1966 Huffy Silver Rat. What would be the best way to mount this so that it looks good?

I want to look like it belongs there, so the clips will be cut off and ground down. That's the extent of my knowledge. Any help is appreciated!

P.S. I have no idea what car this hub nut is off of. It was laying loose on a shelf.

I don't know what the inside will look like after you remove the clips but... you could possibly cut a cylinder shaped piece of wood and epoxy it inside the housing. Then all you'd need is a wood screw going through the fender to hold it on. Gary

Could use a rotary tool and grind the back till it fits nicely against the fender then do the wood or something to hold it in place.

Well that sounds easy enough but I'll have to upgrade...my Dremel won't handle the metal on this, it's very thick.

Also, does anyone knwo what car this is off of?

Thank you for the help so far!

I have a multi speed one from harbor freight that I abuse (even cut the huge hole in the roof of my truck for the sunroof with it); its holding up better than my Dremel brand and Black & Decker brand ones did at half the cost.
When I have a big tough piece to grind I use my angle grinder to rough it out then finish with the rotary tool.

Not sure what that center cap is from.
