I'm trying to find a build thread from a regular forum member who was building unbelievable parts on his metal lathe out of solid blocks of metal (aluminum?"). I believe he was from Germany, maybe? I recall it looked like he was working on his back porch or something similar. He was making a set of amazing forks. His work was phenomenal.
My son is home from college for Christmas and I was trying to explain this guy's amazing work and he just can't imagine it because I'm not doing the description justice. I tried to search for it using many different key words but I'm coming up short. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
