Help needed mounting tank filler... asap.

Trying to get my bike done for next thursdays locale cruise but need help mounting my tank filler witout any welding involved...its decent size, like 12, 14gauge metal so its somewhat heavy.. i dont want to use zip ties or anything cheesy like that .. please help / post pictures of what you did .. I need this bike done!!

Im off to the basement to work on my wheels .. hopefully youll have an answer for me

I used 1 1/2" plumbing clamps. I had to shim them a bit so they would be snug.

dose it swing? I dont want mine to swing cause it will scratch up the paint..

I've used plumbing clamps like Cman, made my own, plumbing straps and zip ties.

i guess plumping clamps it is, hopefully when I paint em black they wont look that bad.

The slightly different angles should prevent "swing", but if you want, you can add one on the down tube. :|

ive always used 18 gauge steel and just cut my own
just to straight pieces,then bend....

Hey Pawel,
Head over to the local thrift store, and buy an old leather belt that matches your color scheme. This is what I did for mine as an alternative to the plumbers strapping.

Absolutely no flutter or swinging, no scratching of the paint from the metal strapping either 8)
