help with painting.......what is first?

ok Im about to start a bike paint job....i wanna do some cool looking wide pinstripes and shapes..Do I shoot the paint for the frame and then paint the stripes on top or do i spray the color for the stripes then tape it off and paint the hole bike,,and peal off the tape.
Also do i wait for the paint to dry and then take off the tape,,or let it sit a little and then take it off..help this is the bike im painting. http://i163.photobucket.com/albums/t320 ... owtank.jpg

either or really
painting after is harder and takes some skill
taping off before is a good way to try it for the first couple times
you wait till the paint is no longer wet (tacky) to take off the tape
not totally hard or youll chip the edges of the paint

try it, if it sucks, sand it down and try it again its all good
